Memorandum to Lingnan files with subject : Allen Lau, 1957-04-12
Scope and Contents
Allen Lau was the President of the New York Lingnan Alumni Association, who support to re-establish Lingnan at Formosa [i.e. Taiwan]. The memo documented the comments of Yorke Allen towards this proposal, indicating the Trustees handled Lingnan Reestablishment with caution based on the consideration related to finance, situation of Formosa, legitimate use of the name of Lingnan, and separate request from Lingnan Middle School in Hong Kong.
