原文刊於嶺南大學三藩市同學會簡報 2002年7月/8月/9月號，64-67頁。為歐陽讓先生於簡報發表三篇有關冼玉清教授文章的第一篇。
文中詳述冼玉清教授的生平事跡，主要內容涵蓋冼教授於1948年於嶺南任教時的軼事，及晚年的遭遇。
文章亦附後記，記述作者於2002年6月探訪廣州嶺南(大學)學院，入住康樂榮光堂時勾起的一些回憶。
